February 2012

Okay, I must admit that I have been somewhat anxious these past several weeks or so. Life in our family over the past few months has been somewhat busy and our days much more full than usual. Those extra things on top of the ‘usual’ expectations had left me feeling somewhat overwhelmed. (I say ‘had’ because that was before I was reminded of Philippians 4:4-7 and chose to lay it all before the Lord.) So, I have to believe that many of you

moms can surely relate:  meals to plan, grocery shopping to be done, laundry to be folded, playing with children, doctor’s appointments, extra-curricular activities . . . and the list goes on. Please don’t misunderstand, I am more blessed than my words could ever express or show appreciation for! My point is: how often are we pulled in so many different directions that we think to ourselves, “How on earth am I going to get it all done?” Well, I’m here to tell you that in and of yourself, you’re not!  However, we serve a very awesome God. He is so patiently waiting for us to simply approach the throne and petition him for grace and peace to accomplish all we have before us each day. So, the next time you are tempted to allow those feelings of anxiety or worry to overtake you, let us call out to God and let Him work out all the details in our life. We know that many of you have full plates, but please remember that any little bit you can help in any part of the church is much appreciated. If you are someone who doesn’t have a full plate, please know that we appreciate if you add something to your plate and help out in areas where there is a need!

God Bless,
Angela McCoy
