Family Ministry
Youth and Family Ministry Basket Raffle
Our
Youth and Family Ministry wants to have a Basket Raffle to raise money
for our Junior L.Y.O. events and programs. We are asking church members
and local organizations to donate new items for our baskets to make
this event possible. We will be collecting the new items through the
end of September and selling tickets for the baskets in October and
raffling them off the first week in November. These will make great
Christmas gifts! You can place your donations in the bins marked Youth
and Family |

Ministry that are located in
the narthex and by the church office. We will be collecting items
through mid-September. These are items that will be needed for our
basket themes:
Christmas Basket: Any Christmas items
School Basket: Book bags, notebooks, pencils, etc.
Coffee and Tea Items: Any coffee or tea items (mugs, coffee and tea flavoring, etc.)
Children’s
Theme Items: Dora, Disney Princesses, Hannah Montana, Spiderman,
Batman, Superman, Go Diego Go, Scooby Doo, Strawberry Shortcake, hot
wheels, etc.
Scrapbooking Basket: Any scrapbooking items
Baby Items: Any baby items (Bottles, pacifiers, blankets, etc.)
Summer Fun Basket: Sidewalk chalk, jump ropes, bubbles, etc.
Cooking Basket: Any cookbooks, cooking utensils, specialty sauces, etc.
Also, any baskets, ribbon, and/or basket bags would be greatly appreciated!
If
you don’t feel like shopping or it is more convenient, we would be very
grateful for any monetary donation, no matter how small. Donations can
be placed in an envelope marked Basket Raffle and put in the collection
plates.

 We will have a Church Work Day
on Wednesday, August 11 at 5:00 p.m. We will also have pizza and snacks
after our cleaning for the church. We will be cleaning desks and chairs
in the Sunday School rooms. Please join us for this community service
event and then we will socialize and have dinner. We are planning on
being done at 7:00 p.m. Our Summer Youth Lunch
meeting will be held on Monday, August 16 at 11:15 a.m. at the Pizza
Hut in Salem. Friends are welcome to attend, but need to provide their
own lunch. We only have enough lunch cards for our youth group members. Please
call or e-mail me with any questions and/or concerns. Also, if you
remember, please RSVP for all events. This helps with planning for food
and knowing how much help we will have at our community service event.
